Hi,

Sorry this is tmi but my last pregnancy was over 13years ago and I lost my mucus plug durning the start of my labour.

so 37+2 weeks today and I had pink discharge as I. The picture I prob had about 3 bits of loose roll looking like the picture. Is this the mucus plug coming away slowly? Im just a little worried. I’ve had some mild period cramps today, nothing strong or in a pattern.
Anyone have this around 37 weeks too?

I think I vaguely remember calling triage around 38 weeks as I had something similar, they were great and determined from the call that it wasn’t the bloody show. My actual bloody show was a lot darker and “bloodier” from what I remember. Are you able to call triage to see what they say? If they think it might be it they might get you to come in to check it over 😊

@ImpatientlyWaitingForSummer thank you for you’re reply,
I called non urgent over weekend midwife, who’s just got back to me. Just said it could be the start of early labour but I don’t need to do anything, and unless it was fresh red or consistent bleeding then I don’t need to do anything.
its stopped and I’ve not had anymore but I’ll just keep an eye on it. See my midwife again on Wednesday.

Thank you again ☺️

Ah yes I think they told me something similar, even if it’s the start of the bloody show it could still be weeks after that active labour actually starts I think. My bloody show was definitely as your midwife described, dark red and a lot more bloody! Hopefully you’re not too far away, good luck and congratulations 😊
