Hi so last Friday I was in hospital with 10 hours of contractions (after having sex) I was 34 weeks pregnant then. Contractions were every 3-5 mins for 20 seconds.

cervix was closed upon them checking on arrival. They let me go home once contractions stopped but they was fully prepared that I may be in labour.

then last night I had 3 hours of period pains and belly tightening. It still have that feeling of being about to start period plus going to the toilet 4 times since 2am.

has anyone had similar and still gone on to full term?

Yes I’ve had similar with my first DS.

Contractions that lasted about half a day that amounted to nothing, not dilating. Just stopped, then weeks of on off am I about to go into labour? Braxton hicks that hurt (despite it saying online not painful)… lost my mucus plug like 3 times… but he ended up coming 39+1 via c section after a failed induction.

If you are worried it’s always ok to go triage and get it checked out x

If it helps I had a few friends pregnant at the same time to me who also experienced the painful tightening and then omg am I going into labour! I personally think it’s your body getting ready for labour, and it can be like that for weeks before. Having tightenings, mild contraction, losing your mucus plug more than once and diarrhoea can be signs of labour but it can also just be a sign that your body is getting ready.
