So me and my partner have been trying for eight months I have Kids with previous relationship.. I have booked my doctors for Wednesday thinking I was out this month after doing three tests yesterday 11 DPO clear negatives.. this morning I had some brown discharge but no period following so I've just took four tests in a row and I can see a faint line on all of them.. can anyone else see what i am as my partner cant and thinks I'm going crazy

@Marshall28 hey ! I can see lines on all of them but very faint! That’s how they start , well done :) I’d get first response pink one as it picks up even earlier at 6 hcg and the line would be even darker than on the cheapie ones :) but I’d wait for tomorrows morning concentrated wee instead of any time today . Good luck :)

I can see a line on both strip tests, not on the last one but I'm possibly a bit distracted by the line on the paper behind 😂

I second get a first response early response!

But in the meantime, congratulations.

Assume i keep testing see if line goes... the bleeding did start last night brown but now it's red thought the HCG would go quickly so early so I wasn't expecting the test to be darker this morning

No, HCG rises quicker than it falls.
Also a bleed doesnt necessarily mean a loss.

I would test again in 2 days.

Marshall28 · 23/01/2026 11:22

Would it keep rising for a bit then? Even if chemical. Just comfused why this morning test would be alot darker when the bleeding started last night

Could it be implantation bleeding?

Marshall28 · 24/01/2026 09:42

I think too much for implantation filoed a tampon yesterday... test still positive but i think its chemical

Can you change from tampon to a pad?

Kim170503 · 24/01/2026 12:10

I agree, change from tampon to a pas as the tampon can irritate the cervix and make u bleed more.. when i had my twins now 4, i bled so heavy i went to a&e as was filling pads stupidly and running down leg sorry tmi but shows you can bleed and it be implantation. I would keep testing to see if gets darker or lighter and failing that get hcg bloods done 48hrs apart

I second what someone here said, get First Response (I get it on amazon) as it shows line progression clearly. If the line keeps getting darker then hCG is rising, bleeding doesn’t necessarily mean a miscarriage
