Hi all so yesterday I had my first growth scan I’m currently 29 weeks 5 days and they’ve said little man’s tummy is bigger than it should be and now I have an obstetrics appointment Friday randomly out the blue. I’m currently on aspirin as they’ve prescribed me that as my last baby was small. Could the appointment be regarding this one’s tummy?

Just ring and ask what the appointment is for.

It's ridiculous that they just expect women to turn up for maternity appointments with no information. This doesn't happen anywhere else in the NHS

They'll probably test you for gestational diabetes as it can be an indication of that. My baby's tummy is measuring 2 weeks ahead so I had to do a gtt last week, I do have it but only mildly. Try not to worry, I'm sure all is fine and baby is just a little chubby!

Thank you and yes I was thinking that
