TW loss -

Wishing everyone the best with their pregnancies.

Unfortunately we went for a private scan yesterday at 17+3 and they couldn't find a heartbeat and it looks as though baby stopped growing at 14w, which was just after our nhs scan.

Heartbroken at the moment, all the best to everyone and wishing you all safe healthy pregnancies and deliveries.

So so sorry. Take care of yourself, will be thinking of you xx

Phoenix321 · 07/02/2026 14:25

@Elephantscantjump so sorry to hear this. How heartbreaking for you. Look after yourself xx

Hey, just checking in on how everyone is feeling? I’m 17+4 and feel kind of sick but not the same nausea I had in the first trimester. Also tired and getting headaches! Anyone else feeling this way?

Doing the exact same here at 17+2! So much better than first trimester, still tired and headaches x

HanJanFan · 09/02/2026 19:46

I'm similar, 19w today. The actual sickness has definitely subsided but the queasiness remains, mainly in the mornings. The tiredness is unreal, but that may be a combination of work being busy, having a toddler and the pregnancy.

SJ08 · 10/02/2026 07:27

Im 18 weeks and feel the same nausea wise. Especially after breakfast! Im feeling less tired than the first trimester though.

Has anyone felt any movement yet? Ive read that you could start to feel it earlier in second pregnancies. I didnt feel it until almost 21 weeks last time so im hoping to feel it earlier this time.

hydrangea22 · 10/02/2026 21:54

Hi, hope everyone’s doing well. Anyone got any recommendations for maternity knickers? My usuals are starting to dig in a lot at 16 weeks now!

I wear non-maternity Boody and see they do “maternity-friendly” lines so that will be my first port of call if my usual pants start to get uncomfortable!

No obvious movements over here yet, just edging into week 18 so am waiting eagerly… sometimes I think I’ve felt something but nothing obvious yet 🙏🏻

Gryffindoratheart · 14/02/2026 17:06

Same here. Sometimes think I feel something but never sure. Looking forward to feeling the more obvious movements. 19 weeks 2 days here.

Anyone else struggling with severe sleep deprivation/insomnia? I’m 17.5 weeks and have been struggling with sleep so bad since week 9!!
im consistently having 3-5 hours sleep every night and am awake for hours at a time some evenings. I’ve tried everything!

Hopeandfaith1990 · 19/02/2026 10:53

Hey @hydrangea22 ☺️ I’m 17.5 weeks too. I did IVF after recurrent pregnancy loss so I was on Prednisolone (a steroid) for the best part of 5 months which has terrible insomnia as a side effect. These are the things I’ve done to help my sleep:
• firstly I go to bed as early as I can, usually around 8.30/9.00pm to try and compensate for the hours I lose in the middle of the night
• take magnesium just before bed
• use this on my feet and anywhere before I try to fall asleep https://www.sweetbeeorganics.co.uk/products/sweet-sleep-magnesium-butter
• I also use the Better You magnesium sleep spray, can get it from Holland and Barrett
• finally, I got a private prescription for Xonvea, it’s usually used for women with HG but it also helps with insomnia.

My sleep is better with all of the above but still not great. I also just accept it when I wake up in the night and read a book or listen to a podcast etc cos if I just try and force myself back to sleep it becomes stressful!!

it’s so hard but my midwife assured me it won’t be affecting the baby xxx

Thank you so much!! I used to take magnesium before pregnancy but since I’m taking a prenatal vitamin with it already in, I wasn’t sure if I could take an additional supplement. Do you also take a prenatal?

the magnesium butter sounds interesting! Thank you I’ll take a look at that

Yes I take Naitre prenatal sachets and a few others stipulated by my recurrent mc team. I checked with my midwife re the magnesium and up to 400mg is fine so I take 2 x wild nutrition magnesium and then my prenatal. Also - if you’re having a bath the better you sleep salts are lovely!

Hopeandfaith1990 · 19/02/2026 14:07

Hi, I went to Liverpool too! I’ve had recurrent miscarriage and am now pregnant via IVF, ill do the questionnaire ☺️

Hello I had my 20w scan (at 19w) on Monday and everything looking perfectly average / normal! 🥰 I won't be finding out the gender. That's lovely you are having a girl 🥰

I know a few have asked for the FB group link, which I am in but have said a few times I am unable to figure out how to share the link due to its settings (I'm not admin). There has been no conversation in it so you aren't missing out.

However, I have come across this FB group and I'm finding it helpful if anyone is still looking for a group. I found it easily just by searching..
Sorry again I can't figure out how to share a link.

Limmers14 · 26/02/2026 18:36

Hi @Gryffindoratheart! I had my 20 weeks scan today too. We found out it’s a boy! A little bit of me was hoping it was a girl, I guess because we know how to deal with girls right? I’m excited to see a mini version of my husband though. Also found out I have an anterior placenta! Baby spent a lot of time smushed up against it so it was hard to do some checks but we got there in the end

MaybePossiblyMaybe · 28/02/2026 01:08

I've had my 20 week scan too - looks like I have placenta accreta at the moment, so I'm now "high risk". My OB is going to consult with some colleagues to see whether I can stay where I am, or whether I need to transfer to a more specialised hospital (3 hours away). We can't make any firm decisions until I have another scan at 28 weeks to see how bad it is, so it's just a matter of making some loose plans and then waiting to see what happens in 2 months.

I find the WhatsApp group a bit full on and left it as some of the comments around losses etc were quite anxiety provoking, so the Facebook group link would be good if anyone has it.

I'm exactly the same, having a boy this time and got an anterior placenta. I'd kind of expected a girl again, I guess just because we have a girl already, so busy sorting out all my girls baby clothes out and need to stock up on more neutral and boys ones.
