Hello all, 15 weeks today! Nausea has reduced substantially but I’m still quite tired. Eating loads and trying to be healthy to minimise weight gain right now! I start to feel faint if I don’t eat every hour or two

Jumping on here! I’m 13+4 and also struggling with insomnia! Waking at 2-3am and struggling to get back to sleep, which is just adding to the exhaustion! Work is a bit busy and I’ve had busy evenings with people round every weeknight this week, I need some down time desperately. I’m already counting down to maternity leave 😅

craving cheese and tomato sandwiches at the moment! And so uninterested in all typical breakfast foods, so I’ve ended up just having sandwiches 😂 random, but I can think of worse!

For anyone with insomnia, I have found this spray helpful. Not expensive and marked safe for pregnancy :) I spray on the soles of my feet before bed and anywhere else and it could be placebo but I think it’s helped a bit!

When is everyone thinking of taking mat leave? I’m considering taking holiday first for a few weeks before starting maternity leave.

I'm taking two weeks annual leave first then going on maternity leave on 22nd June when I will be 37wk4d as I work as a nurse on a busy admissions unit.

I plan on taking June off on holiday and going on mat leave at 38 weeks beginning of July - I think that’s the plan right now

Hi, joining from the other thread! Im nearly 15 weeks and still no glow. To be fair though my bad skin has been my only bad symptom so I can't complain too much.

im not in the UK so im quite jealous of the generous maternity leave you guys have. Where I am it's 3 months so I'll be speaking to my boss soon about taking unpaid leave

First time poster here! 14+5 today with our first baby! nNo glow and no bump yet either, though I think they are just starting to try and pop which is exciting!

As with my others there were fb groups and they were life savers in the early newborn days, congratulations all 💕

Baby number 3 here too! We have a boy and girl already but mildly hoping for a boy so that the middle child (girl) can feel a bit special. I have just done my private NIPT test so found find out the gender some time this week. Not that it really matters. We have had a few losses trying to have a third and I’m just convinced something will go wrong, hence the anxiety about the NIPT. Maybe once I’m past 20 weeks I can relax a bit?!

We have put a gender scan next week. We have a 3 year old little boy and I’m going to be excited either way boy or girl but have a slight preference for a girl… always saw myself with 2 boys though!

Hi sorry I can't figure out how to! Normally I know how to share links of FB groups but maybe cos the setting is set to hidden that's why it won't come up with a share bit for me. I've messaged the admin and asked if she can comment here with it.
She was able to share the link before but it wouldn't work for a lot of people which was a shame. Group is quiet at moment so if she doesn't comment you may be better trying to get the WhatsApp group link, I'm not part of that one.

Jumping on to follow the new thread… anybody who’s on baby 2 or above, I think I took for granted not having another child at the time to run around afterwards and just nap as and when I could. This pregnancy is exhausting, I have no idea how I will manage another 25 weeks plus working full time! 😴

Hi all, 15+5 today!

I’d like to ask, how have you all found your midwife care? I had my booking appointment and expected my midwife to be in touch with me by now but it’s radio silence. I’ve called the community midwife number but it rings out. I’ve contacted my GP as I was told my midwife was part of the GP practice but they can’t help.

I feel like I’m going around in circles trying to talk to someone to get my 16 week appointment.

Also, has anyone had their 20 week scan scheduled? Trying to work out if I’ll get a letter soon or if my midwife is responsible.

My 16 week appointment was booked during my booking appointment otherwise it would be a nightmare trying to contact them too, I was sent my dating scan time and date with no location (maternity is between two hospitals where I am). It took days of ringing to find someone who could tell me where my scan was.

I’m not sure how the 20 week scan is booked but can you try to get this booked during your 16 week appt? When you finally manage to get one that is. My booking appointment wasn’t until I was over 11 weeks and because of this my dating scan was delayed (I’m 13+6 and only having it today!)

Mine booked my 16w appt at the booking appointment. No contact since booking but I've not needed to contact her for anything.

Can you check your badger app for appointments? I got letters through the door but they were also just updated on the app in the weeks sections, scroll to see what you have each week ? Re the midwife apportionment I was to call the GP after my 12 weeks scan to arrange an appointment and the GP reception done it from there ? Hope this helps

Thanks all. Yes, I’ve really tried everything. I’ve looked at Badger Notes, I’ve called every reasonable contact number available to me, I’ve contacted my GP surgery who say I need to call the midwives. When I call, the phone keeps ringing out. I feel like a last resort is to go to the hospital. I’ll keep calling, these phone numbers must work!

Have you had any contact from them at all? Just thinking if not maybes they have the wrong number for you ? Can you go bk on nhs website to register your pregnancy and re do it and check your phone number is correct?

I’m 15 + 4 today and I’ve only just had my midwife appointment come through last week… this is my second baby but my what I thought would be 16 week appointment has been booked for when I’m nearly 19 weeks!

My 20 week scan letter was given to me at my 12 week dating scan.
