@Limmers14 ughh I dislike badger notes intensely. It seems so impersonal. It does name my entire antenatal team though so would have thought that would help with comms?!

The midwife booked my 16 week apt in at my booking appointment....whenever that was. The scan letters came through the post though, v shortly after my 12 week scan (which turned out to be closer to 14 weeks!). So 16 week appointment is now at 18+6. But apparently that's still in the window so is fine.

Mad how different it is for different areas of the country huh. You'd think it was all NHS so would be some uniformity. Mind you with DS I moved within the same city mid-way through my pregnancy and had a totally different experience just by changing GP's, so shouldn't find it too surprising.

Is anyone at that weird stage of pregnancy where some times you don’t feel pregnant and get a bit worried? I haven’t been too anxious this pregnancy but the last few days I’ve been worried about my scan this weekend when I’ll be 16 weeks + 1.

Im still super nauseous every night and I do have a bump!

Allsigns · 28/01/2026 19:13

@MamaagainJuly2026 I'm not someone who suffers from anxiety as a rule, so can't be with you there, but definitely have forgotten I'm pregnant more than once. It's quite nice imo, means the symptoms have abated for a bit. Only ever possible in the mornings though. By the late afternoon/evening I look about 35 weeks pregnant, am knackered and dizzy. Definitely not forgetting at that point 😂

Yep this is me!
I'm Not showing at all. Sickness subsided on boxing day..as much as I hated being sick it weirdly reassured me 🤣🙈
I'll be 16w this weekend. Everything was fine at 12w scan so just trying to focus on that.

MaybePossiblyMaybe · 28/01/2026 22:40

Me too! The nicest thing about being under a doctor this time is I get a quick scan at every appointment, but by the next day I'm back to just hoping everything is ok. I haven't really had movement yet (at least, not anything where I could be confident it wasn't just gas), but I have an anterior placenta so it could be another few months.

Phoenix321 · 29/01/2026 06:43

@MamaagainJuly2026 I get anxious too - seems some a longtime from 12 week scan to 16 week appointment (when I'll actually be over 17 weeks), have a bump and feel bloated so hoping everything's ok. Thought I felt movement last Wednesday but haven't felt anything definite since. Will be glad once I know definitely feeling movements, as that will reassure me between appointments.

Elephantscantjump · 29/01/2026 15:31

Yup same here! 16+2, boobs still tender and still a bit tired / nauseous but that's definitely improved. I keep trying to kid myself i have a bit of a bump but I'm plus sized so don't really think I'm seeing a massive change currently. I thought I'd feel a bit better as symptoms reduced but it brings a whole new worry doesnt it!

Elephantscantjump · 29/01/2026 15:32

On a really lovely holiday too atm but it means my 16w appt is actually going to be 18w 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Solidstart · 29/01/2026 19:47

I’m also at almost 16 weeks and symptoms easing and feeling anxious too for no reason other than I haven’t seen the baby for a few weeks. I’ve an obstetrician appointment next week so hoping she scans me (she usually does for a quick look).

I’ve also told lots of people about the baby now which feels weird when I just look like I’ve eaten too much!!

Cant wait to be able to feel the baby move, pretty sure it’s all just gas right now

Hotchocolateandmarsh · 30/01/2026 17:39

Got our NIPT results today, all positive results and found out it’s a boy 💙

Phoenix321 · 30/01/2026 20:49

Has anyone started buying maternity clothes yet? I've got a few non maternity things that are still fitting but don't think it will be long until I need to start buying maternity clothes - so annoying have to buy them online nowadays. Has anyone bought maternity clothes from Vertbaudet before and know what their sizing is like? I'm normally 8-10 but the options are 6-8 or 10-12!

Phoenix321 · 30/01/2026 20:50

@Hotchocolateandmarsh glad your NIPT results were good

Solidstart · 30/01/2026 22:17

@Hotchocolateandmarsh thats so good about your results and congrats on a boy 💙

@Phoenix321 ive made a move to maternity clothes in the last week, everything else was getting too tight and uncomfortable. Some of my tshirts are still ok for now but I’ve got some maternity ones bought ready as well as getting some active wear too as that’s all getting tight. I’ve been far more comfortable this week.

im in the southern hemisphere so it’s summer for me so I’m in shorts and summer dresses. I’ve found a brand called Ripe and another callled Bae both of which I like (not sure if they are available in the Uk).

Hotchocolateandmarsh · 31/01/2026 09:30

If anyone is above average height, fully recommended ASOS and long tall
sally for tall maternity clothes.

For any first time mums, recommend trying to get clothes that are also breastfeeding friendly if you plan on breastfeeding so you don’t have to double up buying different items.

I’ve got a pair of maternity jeans from Vinted and some maternity leggings from Next. Normal leggings and jeans were getting a bit uncomfortable! Otherwise my tops are still fitting for the time being!

After lots of anxiety we found out we’re having a girl today! Very excited.

Still nauseous in the evenings

Hi, please could someone tell me how I can join the what’s app group?

MrsWindrush · 05/02/2026 10:03

Also does anyone know if there’s a functioning Facebook group? With my last pregnancy we had to friend request the FB group admin so she could add us as links never worked! Found it was far more useful than this - and we still use it now, 3+ years on!

Gryffindoratheart · 05/02/2026 11:03

Had a private scan yesterday at 17 weeks 6 days and found out I’m having a little girl!

Hi all… 16+4days here…. Due 21st…

had a gender reveal today in the scan room… took our four year old daughter along… it’s a boy 💙.

is there a Facebook page?

Phoenix321 · 07/02/2026 02:20

Hope everyone is doing well and congratulations to all those who have found out what they are having! I have had a hacking cough on and off for the last week and it's really starting to p me off now. Keeping me awake at night and feels so vigorous, especially when I have a coughing fit, I keep worrying it's not good for the baby. All my muscles are strained and I have to keep lifting my legs or bending over when I cough so that it doesn't pull too much on my stomach.

Elephantscantjump · 07/02/2026 11:10

TW loss -

Wishing everyone the best with their pregnancies.

Unfortunately we went for a private scan yesterday at 17+3 and they couldn't find a heartbeat and it looks as though baby stopped growing at 14w, which was just after our nhs scan.

Heartbroken at the moment, all the best to everyone and wishing you all safe healthy pregnancies and deliveries.
