I’m coming up to 24 weeks, and I’m finding that during the day my bump is so tight off and on. Not like skin stretching way, like internally my uterus feels hard. This is my second pregnancy, didn’t experience it at all with my first and had a c section so this all feels new!

just wondering if at any point I should be worried that I’m getting this so often?

Hi @EmilyMay89 I had this on Sunday evening, I am 20 weeks and it worried me as they were regular but not painful. I did go into triage to be checked and everything was fine (they checked baby, my cervix etc)

they said it may be being caused by everything getting heavier and stretching so can be completely normal but if you are worried then call triage and they can help you x

Thanks @pastelheartsome days it’s constant throughout the day, but other times it’s just a few times. Even standing up can set it off. It’s going to be a long 16 weeks!!

Is your first child a toddler? I found that being unable to sit down for more than 30 seconds made everything that bit more uncomfortable.

he is 3.5 but in Nursery, I have an office job and I’m sat down a lot. But yes weekends are pretty hard going!!!

I've had quite consistent Braxton hicks since around 18 weeks but this is my 4th baby. I'm now 33 weeks and they're just starting to get more intense and slightly painful so aslong as yours are painless I wouldn't worry

@Pennyrosesthey aren’t painful, but they aren’t comfortable and I really notice it’s happening. It’s so strange how different every pregnancy is!
