HCG levels stagnant for 2 weeks

Hey everyone.
I am a 27 female. I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago (day of missed period). The test came out faint and has been faint but visible for 2 weeks now. I got a transvaginal scan and we could see nothing. My first beta was 13 and currently waiting for my second read of results. I’ve read a lot online about chemical pregnancies but I am wondering why it is taking so long for my body to release the pregnancy. I am currently on 6 weeks. Has anyone had a similar experience?

@YourPoliteLeaderI think so too. I guess it’s just a waiting game. The pregnancy test line are not getting lighter and I am tired of being in limbo

Unfortunately, even if it's not successful, the line will take weeks to fully dissappear... It's very hard to let go off hope, I have been there, but if the line isnt getting darker, it's not good news :( I am sorry :((((

It might be worth contacting the early pregnancy unit. Non-progressing HGC can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy, which needs treatment. Do you have any pain anywhere? It might be worth seeing if they will scan you.
