Breast feeding in pregnancy

Could anyone share any breastfeeding experiences whilst being pregnant?

My toddler is 19 months and still breastfeeds in the night and when teething. Will this affect my pregnancy? Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks x

I breastfed while pregnant with ds2, ds4 and exclusively pumped while pregnant with ds5. It didn't affect my pregnancies but I did find my milk supply went when I was around 10-14 weeks pregnant.

I'm breastfeeding my 20 month old whilst pregnant. It has been quite painful at times but gets better.
My milk more or less went at 18 weeks, but the toddler still tries 😂.

I breastfed my dd for 30 months including throughout my entire pregnancy with my ds ( although latterly was only feeding in evening before putting her down to sleep or when she was ill) ...only stopped because I was in hospital having him- by time I came home 4 days later, she did try bf but said she now didn't like the taste!

Breastfed my toddler DD throughout my second pregnancy. Fairly sure my milk disappeared by 5 months but DD is stubborn and dry nursed until my supply came back, which wasn’t much fun for me as was painful and I had serious aversion, but managed by keeping feeds short and DH whisking her away afterwards to stop her pawing at me. No ill effects during the pregnancy, DS was born fit and well so no issues for him either.

No it doesn’t affect pregnancy, but pregnancy hormones can affect supply so it might start to lessen gradually especially at your first child’s age.

No impact on the pregnancy but for many women the milk stops and then reverts for colostrum around 20 weeks.

some toddlers will continue to dry nurse others won’t.

some women begin to experience aversion during pregnancy so it can be a time to think about nursing manners.

Emma Picket has lots of resources on this including podcast episodes and a guide to weaning if a younger sibling is still breastfeeding.

I breastfed my 4th child all the way through my 5th pregnancy and afterwards. The baby was fed on demand and his 2 year old sister was still having comfort feeds.
