Choosing between UCLH (Prof. Anna David) and Queen Charlotte’s (Dr. Brown) for McDonald cerclage – looking for real experiences

Hi everyone,
I need to choose where to have a cervical cerclage (McDonald stitch) due to a short cervix.
I’m deciding between:

  • Prof. Anna David at UCLH (high-risk pregnancy unit)
  • Dr. Brown at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital
If anyone had a McDonald cerclage with either of them, or was managed as a high-risk pregnancy in these units, I would really appreciate your experience: how the procedure went, follow-up care, communication, and overall trust in the team. My main concern is how quickly and proactively the team would act if any complications happen after the stitch.

Thank you so much.
