hi all!!

firstly just want to say i’m posting here as i’m feeling confused and just want some clarity as you can’t google anything anymore without it giving you an ai generated overview that doesn’t actually answer your question 😅

so, i’ve done a few tests after noticing weird symptoms (food aversions, swollen breasts, bloating and cramping, mild nausea) and have been tracking my progress for about a week or two.

i did a clear blue test last week and it said i was about 2-3 weeks, then another a few days later which said 2-3 weeks (which would make sense as i believe my conception date to be 14th december).

however, i’ve done some standard tests since and they’ll have a very strong test line and a faint control line- anyone know why this is??? in my head i’m stressing that i’m much further along than anticipated- just after some clarity/advice/thoughts if anyone else has had this!

also first time mom so that’ll probably explain the stressing🙈

any feedback/thoughts/advice would be much appreciated

have a good day and thanks all x

Hey, means a ‘dye stealer’ your further on than you think.

i conceived around 21st of December and I am 5 weeks pregnant you must be at least 9 weeks going by your dates. Have you a had 3+ on the clear blue? I’d contact the midwife to get a check if that’s you just finding out xx

If you think you conceived around 14th December that will put you at almost 7 weeks pregnant. It would be quite normal to get dye stealers at this point as your HCG will be very high. If you think you may have conceived even earlier then you need to talk to your midwife or maybe arrange an early scan.
