Hi I’m 37 and currently 5 weeks 2 day.
its been 10 years since my last pregnancy and I feel like I’m completely new to this again.
i can’t shake off that there’s something no right.
i stopped the pill end of October and got our first loss it I’ve on the 29th dec.
every little thing has me on edge.
i don’t know if it’s because of my age and everyone keeps telling me I’ll be high risk because of it,
i started off really tired and nauseous, now I just have the occasional gag.
i keep getting twinges/cramps/sharpe pain in the left side.
i know I’m overthinking absolutely everything.
is there any tips/techniques to ease my anxiety?

Sorry I don't have any tips or tricks as I'm totally in it with you! I've posted on here so many times as I'm literally on edge with every cramp, twinge, weird feeling...
I've had a dull ache for 24 hours now and I'm in an anxiety hole!
Just didn't want to read and run...you're not alone ❤️ Xx

Fellow ball of anxiety here 👋
I’m pregnant following a MMC

I keep saying to myself no amount of worrying will change the outcome but its so hard

I know some people use mantras when they are spiralling like “I am pregnant today and I have no evidence to say otherwise”

Are you planning on going for an early scan? Xx

No, nothing is working for me either!! I had one natural pregnancy that ended ina ruptured ectopic, 6 years later had IVF that ended in mc at 12w, then a successful IVF that resulted in my beautiful 3 yo daughter.. tried again naturally, nothing, did IVF Oct 2025 - failed.. and then this miracle happened, so I'm super vigilant and analysing every little thing!

I have an early scan booked for Monday due to previous ectopic, I have bloods booked 21st and then my midwife booking appt on the 6th Feb but just keep having thoughts that I'm not even going to make it to those appts.
Really struggling!!

When are you both due? Any early scans planned? Xx

Utardelis · 14/01/2026 16:17

@Lyndsey8880 so sorry for all your losses wishing you lots of luck!

Im 5 weeks today. EPU have said they will scan me from 6 weeks, if im lucky enough to not have any pain/bleeding before then im going try and wait until about 7 weeks to book in to hopefully see a bit more if things are going well

Lyndsey8880 · 14/01/2026 16:20

@Utardelis That's good they will see you early! Fingers crossed for a boring pregnancy! ❤️
I have had a dull ache in my stomach since yesterday morning which is not easing my anxiety at all!!!
Constantly knicker checking 🙈 Xx

Utardelis · 14/01/2026 16:28

@Lyndsey8880 🤣 I know full time knicker inspectors

😩 Im sorry thats rubbish, Im sure it is totally normal with everything stretching but I know your mind will be focusing on it. My lower back has been so sore since 3.5w pregnant so that sends me into a spiral a good few times a day

Lyndsey8880 · 14/01/2026 16:30

@Utardelis I know! I keep telling myself I'm not going to check... but then every 30 mins I'm up to the loo! 🤦🏼‍♀️
Bless you, the things us women go through... supposed to be such a happy time, but it's so nerve wracking! Xx

Mines 15th sept.. even next Monday feels like a lifetime!
Yes fingers crossed that will help.
I've googled all kinds of mantras to try and ease the anxiety so I really don't have any words of wisdom Xx
