Coil plus early pregnancy symptoms what do I do?

I am 44 and separated from stbexh a year ago, have had a friend with benefits situation and had a mirena coil fitted 3 months ago. I had unprotected sex 21 days ago and suddenly realised today my boobs are sore and have been for a couple days, mild cramps and waves of mild nausea. Just done a test this evening and was not positive.
Do I need to go and get pregnancy test at GP tomorrow morning? Or can I wait and see? Have googled and seen the risk of ectopic pregnancy. Thanks so much if anyone has any advice.

If 3 weeks after sex the test is negative it’s unlikely you are pregnant. The GP will likely only do a urine test as well unless you request a blood test which is no different to the ones you can do at home. Usually if you have enough HCG in your system to give you pregnancy symptoms there is enough to show on a test. So I would say it’s unlikely you are pregnant but if you’re worried ask the GP for a blood test.
