Morning sickness is making me feel so low

Currently 14 weeks pregnant and just feeling low. I’ve had all day sickness from week 5. I’ve been through this before with my DS but sickness eased at 10 weeks and went completely by 13 weeks.

The nausea is completely taking it out of me, I am quite “lucky” in the fact I am not sick every day although yesterday was 7 times. I am eating a lot less than usual although am managing to eat something and keep drink down.

I expected to get to 2nd trimester and feel much better, I’ve been on sick leave for over a month have no motivation and just feel so down. Have to cancel plans as I’m just not up to it.

Grateful to be carrying another baby and excited for their arrival just HATE the sickness

Whilst longing for my third baby, I’m dreading this if it gets me like my second pregnancy- gosh it was utterly miserable. I was puking every day all day until 32 weeks!!
I had tablets from my GP which you could maybe give a go OP if it’s getting to the point you can’t go out etc (mine was). Hope it subsides soon and congratulations Flowers

Hugs op. No solid advice as I had hg for my whole pregnancy and was sick 50x a day for 35 weeks!!! I had a lot of time off work and spent all my days crying in bed or on the bathroom floor. I’m was very grateful to be pregnant as I’d had 4 miscarriages before but my god I hated it. It seems like a distant memory now as my son will be one in two weeks! It will pass, hugs xx

Please go to your midwife/gp! I suffered with feeling so unwell, powered through thinking it was ‘just part of pregnancy’ and nothing can be done. At my 12 week scan, I was offered anti sickness medication and it’s been fantastic for the last 3 weeks. I feel so much more myself and happier. You don’t need to have a certain level of sickness, I was never actually sick. You don’t have to just put up with this 🤍

Have you gained any weight or lost weight OP? If you have lost weight can you work out the % loss compared to your starting weight. Anything more than 5% is classed as severe sickness / HG.

Can you do this PUQE score too. All this helps build a picture for the medical professionals.

How is your urine today, is it quite dark are you drinking enough fluids? It would be worth asking for a GP appointment and having your urine checked for ketones and proteins.

Antisickness drugs are safe in pregnancy and even better now you are past 12 weeks. If you can get Xonvea it’s a game changer

It’s disgusting, hopefully it will pass in the next couple of weeks. With my second I was wrecked and just slept through most of the first trimester. Otherwise try anti sickness meds.

Thank you everyone - I’m actually on 5 x anti sickness tablets a day! I have lost a bit of weight but I mean like, 3 pounds since finding out I was pregnant so not a huge amount
