Hi guys,

Super random and didn't have this with my first. I noticed today I smelt down below of something very sweet. I'm 34 weeks pregnant.

Since then I went a wee and smelt toilet paper and it's a very sweet smell. I called triage and midwife said she's never heard of that before and it must just be a discharge smell and I would know if my waters have broken.

Has anyone got any experience of this? Thank you ❤️

Hi OP I don’t know if you’ve already been seen for this but I had this in my first pregnancy.
I wasn’t listened to, like you it was very sweet smelling. Turns out my waters had been leaking. But because I was fobbed off it turned into an infection, me and baby ended up with sepsis (not to scare you) but please go and get checked if you’re still having it just to rule everything out.

Have you had a gestational diabetes check? Could you have lots of sugar in your urine?

Also I don’t think you would necessarily know if your waters were leaking because sometimes they leak very slowly

@kiki2516 @user2848502016 thank you both for replying, I really appreciate it. I did call them again and they did ask me to come in. I had all the checks done and thankfully waters haven't broken and cervix closed.

I did have some swabs done for infection. Xxx
