Smelly wee! Embarrassing!!!

My wee has become really smelly. I don't think I'm dehydrated, I think it's just a pregnancy thing, but it's so bad I can smell myself
I have a bit of bladder leakage when I sneeze and when that happens I immediately smell it and I'm sure everyone else can. I smell nasty first thing in the morning even when I have a bath the night before. It's really embarrassing and horrible Does anyone else have this?

BTW I know pelvic floors will help with the weeing problem and I'm doing them! (sort of)

sugar puffs? No I don't think so! just strong...but not normal wee smell. How annoying. Will it stay until it's born?

omg I was just goign to say that when i was pg many yrs ago (6) my wee smelt like sugar puffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wee smelling of sugar puffs is indicative of high blood sugar I think!

it probably isn't as bad as you think you know. Your nose becomes incredibly sensitive when you are pregnant (for the purposes of sniffing out your baby I assume) so it's probably only you that can smell it. I think I smell as well, and have loads of CM too so that isn't helping. DH says I smell just the same to him (and he has been much closer than my nose can get )

tena lady liners have odour neautralisers in them, so a stop gap until you get your pelvic floor strengthened a bit?

Think we've all had that! Mine starts right at the beginning it's how I know I'm pregnant, I always say to dp, my pee smells again will get a test tomorrow and it always comes positive. Don't know if it lasted thru whole pg, maybe I just got used to it.
No one else can smell it though I'm pretty sure of that. Unless you have a massive leak

like nowwearefour says eating asparagus makes your wee pong! And so does corned beef for some reason (well in our house anyway )

Is it just strong or offensive smell? It might be worth dropping a sample of at gp incase a infection

Mine smells strange too, def stronger. I can only describe it like when you smell a wet nappy, it doesnt smell of stale wee like a mans urinal, just a different smell but strong!! mine went bright yellow too!! ha ha.

how to spot a pregantn lady!

I would get a urine test just in case, anyway I also noticed that the smell is a bit different than usual, I get a urine test once a month/6 weeks, and once it came out positive and I had an infecction which was cured using a cream for 5 nights. Or maybe it could be a bit of cystitis?

I had a urine test done just to be sure and I do have an infection, there's no discomfort or stinging or anything so would reccommend you go too.

I had the same thing - it seemed to last for about three weeks at about 6 months. No infection - just a wierd temporary thing. The mind boggles as to what all these symptoms mean. It did coincide with me being very stressed and busy, but probably a coincidence. I was concerned about it at the time, should have asked on mn!

mine has smelled funny too but i've just assumed it's because of my bionic pregnancy nose

Mine has been the same. I am not sure if it is because you are better at noticing this sort of thing more.

My urine samples have come back ok.
