Pregnancy test?

Hi, today my period is 1 day late.
I took two tests: Boots 5 Days Early Pregnancy Test and Clearblue Early Pregnancy Test.

I used my third urine of the day, after holding it for about 2.5 hours.

The Clearblue (blue dye) test is definitely negative — there is no second line and no evaporation line at all.

However, on the Boots test, I can see a very faint line, and I’m not sure whether this is an evaporation line or a faint positive line.

Could you please help me understand this?
Thank you very much.

There’s a lot of dye bleed on the test strip, it’s banded pink the whole way across.
Dye bleed can settle in the test indent, giving a false positive.
You need to retest, being careful not to flood the test to avoid the dye run.
Good luck.

Oh, I hadn’t noticed that at all — you may be right. Thank you for pointing it out. I’ll retest either in the morning or later tonight.

Hello - I found the easy @ home test strips very reliable and affordable. And it will help get a reliable reading if you pee into a pot and dip the stick in for the recommended time. This will put your mind at ease that you did it right and the tests are 'working'.

If you get a faint positive, then try another brand, specifically early detection.

Hope this helps and good luck x
