Breastfeeding whilst pregnant

Anyone successfully breastfed whilst pregnant? If so how long for? Want to continue breastfeeding but also want a second baby. Won't try for a second if it's going to mean my current baby is forced to wean either through milk drying up or taste changing.

Yes, twice, but my milk tends to dry up around 18 weeks ish. They may still choose to suckle a little for comfort and get the milk once the colostrum comes in however and you can go on to tandem feed if it’s something you want to do. You are more likely to get aversions to them feeding later in pregnancy though.

I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and still breastfeeding my first. It's painful though so I have got it down to an absolute minimum. Ideally I'd like to stop but she's very attached to it, especially at bedtime. I was really hoping the milk would change so she didn't like it anymore, but no such luck yet.

Yes I did this, but was painful for the second half of the pregnancy. Went on to tandem feed for a while as well. I was glad I pushed through the pain as it helped my older child still feel loved when the baby came and it was a bonding experience for them both

I chose to stop feeding DC1 when I was pregnant again. I wanted DC2 to have the same experience as DC1 so to have exclusive use of my breasts. Purely how I felt. Tandem feeding is very doable, it just wasn't for me.

Yes I did no problem. My 2 year old at one point about half way through pregnancy said the milk was gone, but he continued feeding anyway and still continued after baby was born. Now tandem feeding them both. Good luck!

I fed my first while pregnant with my second, never had any problems.
I was prepared to tandem feed but 6 weeks before my due date DH put our daughter to bed for a week (she was 20 months) and she stopped then as she was down to evening feed only. But I did feed her for overnight wake ups throughout my pregnancy (and got pregnant no probs while feeding too, started trying when she was 13 months).
