HCG injections

Hi all,

After 7 miscarriages, i was referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. All relevant tests completed and was told to ring as soon as i find out im pregnant again. Fast forward a few months i have found out im pregnant, they have prescribed me HCG injections to take twice a week until 12 weeks. Has anyone else been given this protocol?

Due to all of my losses, i like to track my pregnancies by taking regular tests and seeing the test get stronger, or if its getting weaker i can prepare myself to miscarry.

Due to taking these injections, my lines are strong but hard to tell if its my HCG or the injections, so im struggling at the moment as i am left in limbo 🥲.

They advised me that the HCG injections won’t make much difference to the tests, even though i told them that on 10dpo i had a visible but not overly strong line, the next day, 3 hours after the injection i took another test and it was a blazing positive!

Im freaking out as i have no control over not knowing if my pregnancy is going well due to the injections potentially affecting my tests…

I was told if my pregnancy wasn’t viable, my tests would start getting weaker, but how is that possible when im injecting 1000 iu HCG each week?

i have added a picture of the test taken the day before injection and the test taken 3-4 hours after the injection. Lighting isnt the best!

Thanks for reading x

I dont think you'll find much help here, you're on the family tree board. I've asked the mods to move it to the pregnancy board for you.

Yes wrong board. Good luck OP. 🤞
