Negative test now fairly strong positive?

Hi,

I took a pregnancy test a few hours ago, checked it maybe 3/4 minutes after and it was negative so threw it in the bathroom bin.
I just had a double take and there is a fairly strong positive line?
I have 2 children already and never had this happen but am questioning if I checked the test properly now.

I know I will have to do another test but currently snowed in and wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what was the outcome?

thank you!

Test for reference

I did a test and it came up negative at first, then 15 minutes later a second (pink) line appeared. I googled and googled and everything said that if a line doesn’t appear within the specified timeframe then you can’t trust the result.

The next day I did a digital test with my first wee of the day and it was immediately positive! So either a dodgy test, or maybe just not enough of the hormones in urine halfway through the day.

Take another test first thing tomorrow. Good luck OP!

This has happened to both me and a friend and both of us got proper positive tests a day or two later.

The picture of the test hasn’t shown up. If it’s a clearblue test and the line is thin (but strong blue colour) it’s likely not a real positive. I’d wait a few days a use a digital.
