confused after ultrasound

I had an ultrasound with my consultant today and ended up rather bewildered. In hindsight I should have tried to ask questions there and then but for some reason I just let myself get bustled out of the door with my next appointment.

I was hoping that someone here might be able to help me decipher my scan notes.

The bits confusing me are:

LV
UA doppler EDF +
DV doppler a wave +

Thanks

Hi sass. I'm assuming you had a doppler flow scan today. From what I can remember ua doppler edf is umbical artery end diastolic flow and the + shows that it isn't an absent or reversed end flow. It's all to do with the blood flow and pressure through the umbical cord. I did have all this explained to me when I had it done but tbh it's a bit of blur now. Hopefully someone else will come along with a bit more knowledge.

Thanks BeachBunni. I knew it had to do with bloodflow as they are looking for vessels by the cervix but wasn't quite sure what the different sorts meant. When I go back for my next scan in a month I'll definately be a bit more pushy and ask for clarification.
