New routine data sharing request or something else?

Have any other expectant mothers had this pop up at their appointment? Or any midwives who can elucidate? I'm wondering if it is a routine safeguarding protocol for some trusts or whether something odd is going on that I should investigate?

Routine 28 week appointment. The usual tests and the midwife went through some basic safeguarding information then noted and explained there was a prompt on her system that asked for consent to share pregnancy information with the social care system (I believe the two systems are run by the same company in this trust), she said this meant that early help could be contacted to offer us services and support if it was needed, it looked like a simple yes or no box. She asked if there had ever been any social care involvement (there isn't and hasn't been.) The midwife said that I could decline if I wanted and that was fine. She had a little look about on her worktray and didn't mention anything else, there didn't appear to be any notes or anything of that nature attached to it to explain why it was there or who put it there, nobody has contacted me about anything before or since.

I'm not sure if this is a new routine data sharing attempt or whether I should be worried that somebody has deliberatly flagged us as needing support for god knows what reason. But surely we would have heard something from someone by now or there would have been a note for the midwife if that was the case? Middle class professional family with no history of anything exciting.
