Hi

I am 34 weeks and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 12 weeks. I’m have been on insulin 4x a day with 120 units in n 24 hours.

i have noticed that all of a sudden my numbers have been fine since bed the last few days. I thought they are meant to get worse at this point.

should I be worried?

Hey,
I also have GD, the only thing you could possibly do is eat something that you know would usually raise your reading but don’t do anything that would spike it to much to see if your numbers change?

I did this a while ago because I was getting lower readings than usual so I had a chocolate bar and my numbers went up😂🙈

if you’re overly concerned I’d contact your diabetes team to see if they want to check you. I was told if your readings were constantly dropping and were lower than your usual no matter what you are eating, to contact them asap as it could be that your placenta isn’t working very well anymore.

Hope everything works out for you!xx

It's normal that it gets better at the end. I had it in my last case, it was controlled with diet but I had to test my blood six times a day, bit of a faff! I was told it would get easier to control in the final weeks and it did.
