I am not sure which one or type to buy.

Please can anyone tell me the real difference between the two. I am looking for something to help me exercise and completely relax with while preparing myself for my pregnancy and hopefully labour. I have had two mc's and really want to give this pregnancy as much as I can. I am 14 stone and have recently lost 1 1/2 stones since February as I think that my weight may have not helped with my mc's.

I know that there are some for exercise, relaxation, preparation for birth. This is what I am looking for as there are no ante natal classes here for me. I have had two stressful births with loads of pain and I would like to try something to help prepare for a little pain as possible, iykwim.

Any help greatly appreciated.

The Gaiam DVD Prenatal Yoga by Shiva Rea is really good, even if you haven't done yoga before. If you aren't used to exercise you should try and get at least go to one yoga class. A good teacher will be able to talk you through appropriate poses.

I've got the Buddha Bellies Yoga DVD. It's nice and relaxing and, although it doesn't feel like the kind of yoga I used to do, it definitely helps to loosen me up and make me more comfortable as I've noticed that my joints have stiffened recently (although that could just be old age). Don't know much about Pilates, I'm afraid.

I agree with SammyBags that it would be good to get to a class if you can.

Thanks, I have tried to find classes, but as I do not speak the local language very well, I am finding it difficult to locate one.

I thought that if I use a DVD to at least get me started, it may help. I really do need to relax more as I am really scared about this pregnancy after 2 mc's recently.

It is 10 years ago since my last dd was born as I know things have changed a lot. When I was pregnant with her I went to every class and went throught the whole learning process of how to have a good birth, be a parent and what to do etc.. I am sure that it will all come back, but I would just like a few reminders. I miss not having that facility here. It was a great way to meet new friends.
