1st trimester and a toddler

Let me start by saying I’m eternally grateful to be 9 weeks pregnant today, it has not been an easy journey. But I did not anticipate how hard this first trimester would be with a 2.5yo. My energy levels are zero and the nausea is from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep. I’m somehow surviving off toast and a handful of grapes. God I miss nice food!

I completely relate. I’m 7 weeks and my toddler is not quite 2. I’ve had nausea since 4 weeks - so much worse than with my first! And the fatigue is off the scale. Not any advice really, but solidarity! Hope you have a supportive partner.

Same it's so incredibly tough. I'm 10 weeks and feel a tiny bit better than last week, so I think week 9 is often the peak of the nausea. We've watched so much TV, my parenting quality is taking a hit!!!

We have also watched way more TV than I’d of liked! But it’s been the only way to bag some quiet time. I really hope things start to ease off soon. My husband is great but he works a lot. I do have wider family but they have been wiped with flu.

Roll on the second trimester..

Nervously reading this thread having just put my two year old to bed and being very early days pregnant hahaha

It is very hard, I'm 24 weeks with #3 and the nausea this time lasted until 20 ish weeks. It was relentless. And I threw up a lot more with this baby than the previous two. I just survived best I could. 🙈 I feel ok now, just exhausted. Sending you luck!

38 weeks and totally gonna say it doesn’t get better so pick them up and cuddle them as and when! Soak it all up xxx

It’s super hard. I’m 34 weeks with a 3 year old, have had to rely so much on OH and family, however I am really grateful I’ve got an amazing support network. But yes, far too much Bluey watched this third trimester and I feel so guilty sometimes when my hips are killing and can’t do as much as before.

I realised how negative my comment was o came back to say in the second trimester I was so much more alive, went on holiday and all sorts, so you have some fun with them ahainbxx

18 weeks with no2 and I have a 3yr old, it’s been hard. I was nauseous all day from 4 weeks till about 16 and now I just have a few days. I’m still super tired. DH has picked up the fun stuff with my little boy and I’ll mostly lay on the floor and play or we cuddle and watch movies, totally not how I parent but whatever works for now.

First trimester is hard. what did you try to overcome pregnancy reflux. if you consider I suggest morning sickness tea of secretsoftea. visit and learn about the tea. I have been drinking and got rewarding results

i used to lie down with my toddler when he napped during my first trimester. I didn’t always sleep though usually did. It got me through!
