Nhs combined screening 1 in 2 Downs Syndrome risk

Hi all,

I'm really struggling and could do with some words of wisdom or stories that might help with hope. Lots of people discuss their high risk and it's nowhere near 1 in 2 so it's making me feel even more panicked.
I had combined screening test for downs syndrome come back as 1 in 2. Scan at 12 weeks and 4 days was fine. The sonographer was happy and NT measured at 2.8mm
Bloods came back more worryingly and all
Combined with scan now seems to be terrifying:
Free beta hcg 2.25 MOM
Papp a 0.34 MOM

Has anyone else had similar results and everything been fine?

I'm booked in for nipt but I'm struggling to get through the days without breaking down in tears. I have an 11 month old little one and I'm really struggling to be properly present for her.

I just don't understand how it has gone from a perfectly fine seeming scan (though no comments on nasal bone etc and i never thought to ask) to suddenly a 1 in 2 risk.

Thanks

I was in this position - after a perfect scan i was told Ihad a 1in2 risk of T21. Ended up having a CVS test. After they took the sample they realised the risk was due to an administrative error, and it was actually 1in5000. They tested the sample anyway, found traces of T13, which required an amnio etc etc.

Anyway, ultimately things were fine. 1 in 2 is very high, and typically conclusive. However, you would expect to see signs on the scan. So there's a strong possibility everything is fine.

Your results also look normal from what I can see too
