Please help… I’m going out of my mind

I last had unprotected sex (withdrawal method) on the 22nd of December. My period was due the 20th but it didn’t come, and it still has not come. I am on cycle day 44, my longest is 45 and that was months ago. I have taken many cheapie tests (same brand, from eBay) and they’ve said negative, every single one. Ive been seeing all kinds of cm (tmi) from white and thick to watery and like ovulation cm! I know about late ovulation but I am 11 days late for my period and it’s really upsetting me, what’s going on? I do not want to be pregnant right now at all, it’s really getting to me. Please somebody help me out with some answers, I’d really really appreciate it.

Might you get a more reliable test with a branded test from Boots or other chemist?
Are you of an age where your periods could be starting to become irregular anyway?
If you were due your period on the 20/12, and you had unprotected sex on the 22/12, could it be that you're possibly pregnant from sex in your previous cycle, in late October / November?

I got my period in both October and November. These tests I’ve used before and they’ve said I’m not pregnant when I haven’t been. The last time I tested was on the 30th (so yesterday) and it was negative again. I am 26 so no not the age they will become irregular. I’ve had a 38 day cycle, a 43 and a 45, but it’s not common for me to - usually they are 32-33 days. I can’t stand what I’m going through atm it’s really horrible for me.

How long have you been having the egg white discharge?

It’s weird because I don’t find it on the outside it’s when I check internally. But today I found some, and some yesterday or the day before? The last time I noticed it was 14th/15th of December.

From the sounds of it you might not have had sex within the fertile period. You might not have ovulated yet at all. You’ll need to wait 2 weeks to test or hope your period comes. Please don’t rely on withdrawal next time!

No i definitely won’t. The stress I’m going through right now is way too much. So you don’t think I’m pregnant just based on what I’ve said here?

If you had egg white discharge on 14th and had sex on 22nd then that’s just out of the fertile window but you never know!

Sounds like you're super stressed out and that would only delay your period more because stress affects periods like that. All you can do is as pp said. Wait 2 weeks and test again but if get a better test if I were you

11 days late, surely I’d know by now? I keep getting negatives surely the tests can’t be wrong? I really do not want this right now, desperately want to start bleeding it would wipe away SO much anxiety

8 days after is too early to test. Wait 4 days. If still negative, you’re not pregnant.

Do a really good test and put yourself out ur misery

I definitely am stressed out! When I lost my v my period was late that month and I stressed about it, it’s happened before with me. I just do not want this, this cycle is set to be my longest one - all the tests are negative but now i’m wondering if the tests are wrong? I’d be 6 weeks based on my LMP, wouldn’t I know by now?

The 2nd of Jan will be 2 weeks after one encounter, and absolutely everywhere says 2 weeks after is an accurate result, so that would still stand right?

the eBay ones I have I’ve used previously and they’ve got results right before, don’t all pregnancy tests measure the same thing?

I used cb before and I got an evap line that completely freaked me out (I wasn’t pregnant) so I stay away from those. What cheap tests would you recommend?

No because it’s not about the length of cycle it’s about how many days after sex you are. By 14 days after, a pregnancy test is 99% effective. I don’t think you’re pregnant, but there’s a small chance you could be, so wait a few days, test again, and if it’s negative then you’re not pregnant. Nobody here can tell you whether you are or aren’t

Op in the nicest way you sound like you’re getting very very worked up over this, and are overthinking everything.

Go to Superdrug. Buy a pregnancy test. Take it in a few days with first morning urine. Then you will have your answer. Trying 1000 different tests, testing every half an hour, posting online and worrying yourself silly will not affect the outcome.

I am fairly sure I have anxiety so yes I am overthinking things, I know that. I know you’re not a medical professional but, do you think I’m pregnant? Based on what you’ve seen?

in regards to testing, I’m testing tomorrow morning. My current negatives seemingly haven’t calmed me down but i’m hoping the next ones might. Thank you so much for replying.

I have no idea whether you’re pregnant but based on the dates you’ve given, I think it’s unlikely.

You probably ovulated late due to stress which is understandable

I just really want to start my period you know? I’m literally away with my family right now and whilst I’m enjoying myself, this is in the back of my mind at all times. For me, it’s in the back of my mind until it isn’t. It’ll always be there until it’s not. So this is hard for me!

Can you try reframing it in your mind - it's unlikely you're pregnant.... there's literally only a window of 1-36 hours of peak fertility around ovulation each cycle. Can you keep telling yourself that you are not pregnant unless a test shows otherwise?!. The stress is probably what's causing your period to delay more.

I’m going to test in the morning. i’m now worrying that my tests might be faulty cos they’re cheap eBay ones. All my tests have been negative so far, I just want my period. I’d take my period over a bunch more negative tests. It’s just a lot for me right now.

I'll help you OP - in about three months' time, you need to have an STD test.
