Looking for peoples suggestions on induction distraction! I looked to see if there was a beauty salon near the hospital as was think about going to a neck massage or pedicure but there isn’t one! Any suggestions bar just watching things?

We had a pub at the back of the hospital carpark we went for a lovely dinner to escape the hospital food!!

Oh this is a great idea. Sadly I don’t think there is a nearby pub but will have a look!

We also watched Welxome to Wrexham and the following series always make me a bit teary remembering when we first started watching- sad I know!!

I also did Bidyfit by Amy labour inducing workout as everything had stalled and we were stuck waiting for a bed to get my waters broken. I’d got a few load travel sized games but we couldn’t really get into them!!

I walked laps around the hospital! Went to the coffee shop. I don’t know why I didn’t just go home - we only lived 5 mins up the road. I think the walking helped get everything moving downwards. It took a few hours - gel in at 8 am but no contractions until around 1 pm - baby born around 4:30 pm.

Yeah might go for some walks. I live a 15/20 min drive so I think just a bit too far to go home but def some nice coffee shops/walks I could do. I’m only going to be 37 weeks so expecting it to be slow going.

Oh and hospital food is rank so take lots of snacks….. I couldn’t concentrate on much to be honest!

take a blanket too as I was either roasting or freezing there downtime seem to be a happy medium in the antenatal ward from my experience!!

and I had a sleep mask that you can hook up to your phone to listen to music/podcasts that was a godsend!

Yes I’ve always declined the hospital dinners for sure. Horrible!!!

blanket is a nice idea. I’ve always taken a pillow as they’re grim!!
