Third trimester, found Christmas too much, anyone else?

I’ve been super emotional.
December has been a busy month generally.
I wouldn’t say my Christmas has been particularly busy, we’ve played games, done nice things etc.
I just haven’t enjoyed it, I’ve felt detached from it all.
I know it’s probably hormones and being 37 weeks pregnant but I guess I wanted to share this incase anyone else’s Christmas hasn’t been picture perfect! X

I was 39+6 weeks pregnant Christmas 3 years ago... I was just wanted baby out and didn't enjoy it that much but painted on a smile for my then 4 year old DD. Hormones are all over the place and the third trimester can be so so uncomfortable... don't worry or put pressure on yourself about enjoying it all as you normally would... Next Christmas you will have a nearly 1 year old and it will be a lot more enjoyable. Wishing you all the best ❤️

I am 34 weeks. I’ve not enjoyed it - I’ve tried to but I am just so tired, the only place I want to be is in my own house with the option of going to bed an relaxing whenever I like. We’ve been up and down the M25, stayed in a hotel, visited three households all since Xmas morning. I feel like a right grinch but honestly I don’t care at this point. We are travelling to another family members tomorrow for the afternoon - 1.5 hours drive each way. Was looking forward to it all of December but after yesterday and today, could really do with just staying home. This is the first time during the pregnancy I’ve felt THIS tired. I guess this is what pregnant women mean when they say they just don’t care anymore about pleasing others!

Oh, that sounds a lot. I’m 35 weeks and have been finding it full on - and sneaking afternoon naps! - just being at my MILs, who is 45 minutes drive away (DH is the driver, not me). Not hugely looking forward to my mum and brother visiting us (and staying overnight) tomorrow. But we’ll mainly be doing party bits I think. I can’t imagine spending Christmas bombing up and down the motorway at this stage!
