I have just been discharged from overnight observation at the hospital after a little bit of bleeding with a show, I am 33+5 days now. My other 3 babies came at 37 weeks.

They have said that I am not in labour and have given me steroids in case anything starts.

I know that this does not mean laborur is absolutetly imminient but thought I would ask you ladies how long after your "show" did your waters go and labour start?

Just noticed that in my haste my spelling went to pot, sorry! Or is it my fat swollen digits can't hit the right buttons anymore?!!

Within a very short time with Ds(probably half an hour)and it all came away at once, but several weeks before labour with Dd, though I kept getting partial pieces of it with her.

I had what I assume was a 'show' last Wednesday morning. It was brown sticky discharge but no jelly plug (sorry tmi). I have had nothing since and am still waiting. I am 39 + 3. Hope something happens soon.

I had a show at 37 weeks, DS was born at 41 weeks, and my waters were broken by the midwife when i was about 9cm

DS1 - proper show - whole plug, clear streaked jelly, went into labour that night.

DS2 - no show as such, but thick white discharge for about a week before it all started.
