Awww hey @Ladyinpink1 that's so lovely! Thank you! I'm due on the 16th of March with a boy. My best wishes to you and I wish you an uneventful pregnancy and easy birth xx

firsttimepregnanthelp · 26/12/2025 23:43

I’m 22 weeks and still cant quite believe it! Loving feeling baby move but I have an anterior placenta and don’t always feel it so I have been to triage more times than I care to admit. Definitely looking forward to movements getting stronger. I have a little bump that seems to have come out of nowhere which I am loving 🥰

Ladyinpink1 · 27/12/2025 07:44

Same to you @YorkshireGoldDrinker x

Hi @firsttimepregnanthelp Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm the same with my placenta being at the front, I felt only pressure for ages when baby moved, but now in past week or so I'm feeling alot more movement which is good. Did you find out what you are having? What is your due date? x

Thanks! No not until early Jan, can’t wait to see baby again. I ended up having a very long scan last time as baby was so wriggly

magpie234 · 27/12/2025 09:53

Hey! I am 22 weeks. Due 1 May (but will prob have a c section the week prior) and expecting a girl 😊

PumpkinSpicedLatte · 27/12/2025 10:14

Hi lovely, I’m here from the very quiet May babies thread .
hello everyone else, lovely to meet you guys virtually. I am due 9th May but they’re inducing me in April due to a complicated previous labour.
I am pregnant with a baby boy 💙

Ladyinpink1 · 27/12/2025 16:42

@VegQueen That's lovely to look forward to next month when January can be a long dreary sort of month x

@magpie234 Hi! Congratulations on your girl, is this your first?
I'm due just a few days after you, 4th May :) My dh keeps saying "May the fourth be with you" 😂 x

Hey @PumpkinSpicedLatte 👋 That will be good to get a definite date for baby arriving, how are you feeling about the section? Is this your first or second boy? x

OP posts:
PumpkinSpicedLatte · 27/12/2025 18:35

@Ladyinpink1 I’m nervous as it’s not a section, just induction, so not sure how it’ll go. I had two failed inductions with my previous, which ended in emergency c section so I’m apprehensive but trying to stay positive. They’ve given me a 75% chance of a successful induction so I’m hoping it’ll be ok! Do you have a birth plan?
how’s your day been?

Ladyinpink1 · 27/12/2025 20:37

@PumpkinSpicedLatte Oh yes, sorry I misread. I'm sorry you are worried, have they said induction is the only option for you then? I mean do they think waiting for natural labour is too risky?
I need to have a think about my plan actually. I was very anxious up until recently because of my last pregnancies so had sort of not organised or thought too much, but now I have a whole "baby things" list saved lol
Have you bought much for baby yet? x

I'm due on 4th May and having a girl. x

I'm also due on the 4th of may and having a girl!

This will be my second baby and alo second girl. She is incredibly excited to be a big sister.

Ladyinpink1 · 28/12/2025 15:01

@Expectinglittlebean2024 Congratulations 🎀 What age is your little boy (i'm guessing as you said girl this time) ? x

@Babyburrito0 Aww congratulations and snap for the same due date 🙂. I am quite excited about a spring baby and being able to have lots of sunny walks and garden days with a baby 🥰 x

firsttimepregnanthelp · 29/12/2025 23:32

@Ladyinpink1thank you! I am finding the movements so odd and not actually sure that what I’m feeling are movements but I’m not sure what else they could be - they are like twinges, bubbles and pops. I can’t wait for them to get stronger, this is my first baby so all new to me! I’m due 30th April and keeping gender a surprise, it’s a cliche but all I want is a healthy baby x

PumpkinSpicedLatte · 30/12/2025 15:24

@firsttimepregnanthelp the bubbles and pops sounds very accurate to the early kicks. I’m due around the same time as you with my induction. With my first the kicks were like bubbles and almost like gas popping, they get stronger very quickly!

ClaudesBiggestFan · 30/12/2025 20:15

Hello everyone! I’ll join in too. I’m 22 weeks, and am expecting our first DC - a baby boy due at the start of May. DH and I are very excited indeed and are thinking about names and nursery decorations!
We were lucky to have our anatomy scan before Christmas - all was well, and we have enjoyed travelling to see lots of far flung relatives we don’t see often and telling them all about our little boy.
I have very much popped now - I don’t think there’s any mistaking that I’m expecting!
I am loving feeling movements - they started as others have described, feeling like bubbles popping, but they’re a lot firmer now. DH has even felt a few, despite our little one mostly freezing every time DH hurries to put his hand on my belly 😂
Have others started shopping yet? We haven’t actually bought anything for the baby, and I’m all of a sudden starting to think that the second half of my pregnancy will fly by…!

PumpkinSpicedLatte · 30/12/2025 21:27

@ClaudesBiggestFan I’ve suddenly popped too and can see the baby moving on the outside which is crazy! I’m almost 22 weeks, we have another anomaly scan Friday with fetal medicine as our 20 week scan showed some abnormal lighting in the babies bowel. Hoping it was just a one off and he’s ok on Friday 🫶 we have started his nursery but we have two other children and they’ve been involved and wanting to get things ready which has been nice. Congratulations 🫶💚

Ladyinpink1 · 30/12/2025 22:00

@firsttimepregnanthelp That definitely sounds like movement. With my dc1 I remember thinking it felt like a little goldfish hitting off a bowl (or what i imagine that would feel like lol)
I think that is lovely, especially for your first baby, then you have the surprise at birth. I'm sure you really cant wait 🥰 x

@ClaudesBiggestFan Hi and congratulations, i'm also 22 weeks now and due the start of May (4th).

That sounds really lovely you both got to spend the holidays announcing to everyone. I haven't really bought much yet either, I was checking the sales online for a few bigger things that we need but didn't see massive discounts so i'm hoping things are a little cheaper in the January sales x

@PumpkinSpicedLatte I have popped too this past week and my tummy has firmed up, also movements are getting stronger so that's nice. Hoping all goes well on Friday. Did you keep much from your other dc, or will you still have alot to get? x

Love this! I’m 21 weeks and due mid May with a girl. I expect to a have another c section but keeping an open mind until I get told I should have one. Would love a VBAC but don’t want to get my heart set on it!

I’ve really popped and not looking forward to all the comments at work on Monday! Really starting to feel her move which is so lovely and reassuring. Had my 20 week scan and need to go back in a week as they couldn’t get all the views they needed

Hi, congratulations! That's nice that you get to see baby again 🥰 and to feel the movement as well.

Will you book any private scans for later as well? x

OP posts:
EmilyMay89 · 04/01/2026 16:00

@Ladyinpink1yes I’m trying to think of it as something positive that I can see her again, but still a bit anxious in case they see something this time they couldn’t see before.

I’m not sure about private after this one, with my first I needed quite a few growth scans. So will see how we go this time! How about you?

Ladyinpink1 · 04/01/2026 18:56

@EmilyMay89 I have been given a few nhs scan dates, my placenta is low so it's to be checked. But I would like a 4d one i think at about 28 - 30 weeks is best for it. We got a quick view of 4d on our gender scan it's so amazing.

I was scanned twice at my 12 week scan because they couldn't see clearly. I think it can be quite common, but understand how that would make you worry. Hoping it's at the start of this week so you arent waiting too long x
