Hi, I'm looking to find a good fertility acupuncturist in London after a mmc recently. Can anyone suggest someone good? And could you tell me if you had positive results?

Many thanks!

where are you based msdynamo? Have good contact that works in central london and also se london.

am currently 39 weeks pregannt after 2 mmc and losing a baby at 21 weeks due to abnormalities. Acupuncture been absolutely key to recovery, conception and pregnancy.

Where are you based? There is the omnipresent Zita West although I think she is quite expensive and I don't know if she does evening appointments.

I went to Jo George at the life medicine clinic in North London and she treated me through IVF (which was successful) and then pregnancy.

Try Daniel at www.londonacupuncture.co.uk, afraid I don't have the tel no.

He is brilliant - he also has a clinic outside London, he treated me when I'd been ttc for more than 18m, after a couple of months my cycle was more regular and after about 3-4m I was pregnant.

Obviously this may have happened anyway, and perhaps the effects are just psychological, but the result's the same.

I have lots of clients who have just had babies (am specialist personal trainer) and it's amazing how many of them seem to know of him!

Good luck.

zita west do evening appts but you can also get a preconception/conception acupuncture through any neals yard centres you have near you. I think this is tied into either zita west or preconception (I think thats what its called - its a well established system of pre conception health)

Thanks for the suggestions. poppy34 congratulations on your current pg. I am based in Maidavale, west London.

Zita West sounds great, but I checked her out and it's quite pricey- £120 first session, then £80 after.

I'll look into Daniel hatcam, he sounds great, its always good to hear a personal recommendation, and a success story! And I'll also check out Jo, thelittlebadger.

poppy do let me know the details of your acupuncturist.

Thank you all!

msdynamo - I'd recommend Ann Quinn who works at the Neals Yard on Marylebone high st on wednesdays. she is less pricey than zita west (although has been on their course) - her consultations are less prescriptive though (ie she is not a great one for saying come every week when its not required).

Sorry for your loss. I second London Acupuncture on Harley Street. I didn't see Daniel, but saw Inga who was great after my miscarriage. Iirc it was about £45 a session. She was sensitive to the fact that it's quite expensive and didn't make me come in every week when it wasn't necessary. I got pregnant the following month after my miscarriage (no idea if it was down to the acupuncture) and was a bit of a mess. It was reassuring to have treatment to support the early stages of the pregnancy.
