Faint line 13&14 DPO - chemical?

Hi, I have been spotting since 8DPO. So going on 7 days tomorrow. Its varied between quite light spotting and slightly heavier (never as much as a period/filling a sanitary pad). Mostly dark brown/red but occasional brighter red spots too.

Negative test 9DPO & 11DPO
Faint line 13DPO on 2 separate diff brand tests (22nd Dec)
Tested again this morning (23rd) 14DPO and another faint line but appears a little lighter than yesterday to me.

Am I having a chemical ???
Just concerned that the spotting has gone on so long. but assume I am too early to have docs check tbh.
Anyone else spotted this much early on & had positive outcome?

I think you’ll find people who have gone on to have positive stories and others negative. The only real answer is to wait a day or two and try again as there should definitely be an improvement in lines. One slightly fainter than the other a day apart isn’t necessarily an indicator of a chemical. I know it’s so frustrating. Probably even more so at this time of year but hang in there!

Thank you! That’s very true. I will test again and see, is tomorrow too soon? Suppose if I do tomorrow there should be a darker line from the first one. I’m so impatient😂
I guess its the bleeding that’s worrying but I feel like there’s no point talking to a doc this early if the lines are fading there’s my answer 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes. I had
11dpo - nothing BFN
13dpo - VERY faint
15dpo - nothing BFN + clump of blood
16dpo - faint line
18dpo - quite faint but definite line

i feel the 15dpo must have been a dud test but still my lines were very faint/had to wait the full 3 min until 18dpo

Oh really that’s interesting, how far along are you now? Is everything ok? Any other bleeding?
with my first baby I had none of this so all new to me!

I’m 8.5 weeks and seen baby twice on scans with heartbeat.
Only a very faint tinge of pink on wiping maybe 50% of the time. I think this may be due to pessaries though as I read this can happen and stopped pushing them in so far which reduced (but didn’t fully stop) the spotting.
also it’s completely gone the last 4 days since stopping pessaries I’m now just twigging…

Did you test today? If maybe do one a day but try not to fixate on it too much. Also bleeding can mean something or absolutely nothing. It’s just a terrible waiting game in the beginning :(

Two friends of mine didn’t find out until 12 weeks or so as they both had full on periods!

Thanks for replying that’s reassuring! I tested again today and it was darker so I’m taking that as positive. I did call docs who said because I have no pain they aren’t worried about ectopic (yet) but since I’m early they can’t do anything & dont scan before 6w. Told to retest at 6 weeks & if positive still and still bleeding they can book in a scan.

Update… did a test this morning, got a much darker line🥰 hoping this is good news despite the spotting 🤞🏻 1 more week til I can ring for a scan to check its all okay in there
