35 weeks and confused about movements

I'm almost 35 weeks and baby was head down and I was feeling a lot of kicks up high but at a recent scan baby had gone transverse and I suspected as much as the moments changed and weren’t quite as strong. I have an anterior placenta so assume this might have something to do with it.

Its now a week later and although I’ve felt movement today it does seem to be quieter and fainter than usual but my consultant said as long as I feel movement and can count 10 movements in an hour then not to worry. My scan showed everything was looking good too. She also said to encourage movement by having a cold drink and something sweet but I actually thought this was outdated advice🫨

I lay on my bed earlier and did manage to get the 10 movements in an hour but some of them were quite faint. My consultant said faint movements are okay as long as getting movements not to worry?

It doesn’t help that I’ve never really had a pattern and it is ‘normal’ for me to have quiet days and more active days and today does seem to be one of the quiet days.

I thought the movement stress would get less the further a long but it’s more stressful than ever trying to find a pattern and work out what’s ‘normal’ 😩

I think your gut says it all. You should go and get checked out for reduced movements.

I would go and get checked out. I had something similar with DD3 and went to be checked out just in case. Ended up with an emergency delivery. I'd all you get is peace of mind it is worth it
