34+2 weeks and struggling

Hi All,

34 + 2 weeks pregnant and I’m really struggling with the weight of my baby bump. I’m 5 ft tall, so pretty short and I always knew that my belly would grow more outwards as there just isn’t the room at my height.

I’ve been told I have more fluid that average, but passed the longer diabetes test in November. I have an antenatal appointment tomorrow, and everytime I go, I keep getting referred for more tests due to the size of my belly so that’s making me worried. I don’t think that’s helped by the fact I’ve never seen the same midwife twice though, so each time I’m having to explain my circumstances.

I’m lying in bed right now, and I’m so uncomfortable - but it’s the same if I’m on the sofa or anywhere really. Is there advice for getting comfortable or anyone who is petite going through something similar?

Really struggling right now, so just looking for advice.

Thanks,

L.

Sorry you’re so uncomfortable. It’s hard.
Have you got a full length pregnancy pillow? Was a game changer for me in second pregnancy. Really helped get comfortable in bed.
Have you had growth scans for reassurance of baby size, etc? If not, would push for that.
