Did anyone else experience random vomiting this late in pregnancy? It hit me like a ton of bricks this afternoon but then I felt fine and now for the past hour I have thrown up twice and feel like I could again.

Sounds like a bug, try and rest and get plenty of fluids and hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow!

Check your blood pressure Op, just to be in the safe side.
Also you could be going into labour.

No advice but I’m the same 38+3 and have also started feeling really nauseous again! My digestion is awful and I feel huge and sluggish so putting it down to that.

Eenameenadeeka · 20/12/2025 05:26

I did when I was going into labour.

Definitely monitor, a friend began vomiting and then went into pre-eclampsia, very unusual I know but call midwife if at all concerned, they can just check you out

I was also going to say I vomited before I went into labour. I think the body wanted a clear out!

xxxwd · 20/12/2025 08:42

Yes sickness and diarrhoea around 38/39 weeks and everyone said it was labour. Had c section at 40 weeks.

Chafing · 20/12/2025 08:44

Are you taking iron? Makes me very nauseous

ThatGreenFawn · 20/12/2025 12:56

I did, but I carried dc transverse. I was sick so much as they turned then went into labour a few days later.

Yaty · 20/12/2025 13:48

I'd get your blood pressure checked. One of the first signs of my pre eclampsia was random vomitting (after no sickness since 1st trimester) at around 35 weeks. Do you have other symptoms, swollen, headaches, fuzzy eye sight?

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 20/12/2025 14:37

Only when going into labour

BatshitIsTheOnlyExplanation · 20/12/2025 14:40

I had about 12 hours of vomiting then went straight into labour. I don't know whether the labour caused the vomiting or the vomiting started the labour (or just a coincidence)
