28 weeks pregnant.

Had a growth scan today at exactly 28 weeks, babies estimated weight is 2lb 3.. however they recon he’s coming up small, I assume in all other measurements.. he’s currently on the 6th centile which she said anything under 10 is a concern.. she then asked if anything had changed recently which it hasn’t and movements are always few and far between because of my placenta being high Anterior which I suppose is normal for me..

has anyone else had this and what steps did the hospital take?? I’m waiting on a phone call but going mad in my own head now😩

it’s took years to get this baby n now I feel like my happiness has been ripped from me.

@DeeRoo Please dont let this worry you too much. Babies are about 2.7 at 28 weeks but this is only an average. Also, they do tend to grow at different speeds. Mine was 17th centile at 28 weeks and 43rd gentile at 32 so not a big baby but so much change in four weeks. Keep an eye on movement and do go in if you have any concerns. Did they say anything about doppler readings, as normal readings on these indicates normal blood and nutrient flow but usually the hospital will scan you monthly if they are concerned or possibly even more regularly.

Try not to worry too much, they are only estimates and can be so inaccurate! .. I have small babies, my 2nd pregnancy I was measuring behind again and they gave me regular scans from around 28/30 weeks, every week, one week to check my placenta was working and the next week to check the babies growth.. My chart was so up and down depending on sonographer and they ended up inducing me at 38 weeks as it looked like his growth had stopped and they estimated around 5lbs, he was 6lb4 and would probably have been similar to his brother if they'd left him to grow.
I'm 30 weeks pregnant now and my growth scans start at 32 weeks, so will see what happens this time 😅
