just want to know if anyone has been through this. Sunday I was intimate with my husband ended up with pink discharge only when I wiped. Monday I strained for number 2 and spotted again and ever since then (it’s now Wednesday)every time I go the toilet for a wee I wipe pink/brown but it trails off and is never enough to fill a pad. I don’t have any cramping either.

@Mumtomy4 my daughter is currently 6 weeks pregnant and had the pinky browny discharge. She was concerned because this never happened with her previous pregnancies. She booked a private viability scan to check it out. Everything was ok on the scan but it was noted that there was some blood next to the embryo and the sonographer told her to speak to the midwife. Apparently its called implantation bleeding caused by when the embryo attaches itself to the uterine wall and is common in early pregnancy and after sex. I would mention it to your doctor or midwife to get yourself checked out.

Hi OP, I had spotting from weeks 4-8 and a burst of red blood, no pain or cramping, at 14 weeks. It was a subchorionic haematoma, spotted on an early scan and it wasn't a problem but was quite scary! Some bleeding in early pregnancy is not uncommon, when I called the EPU they said if no pain or cramping it wasn't a huge concern, but do get it checked out. Bleeding after sex quite common as the cervix is very sensitive and easily irritated, ive heard.

I'm now nearly 32 weeks and all good!
