Daily hiccups 33 weeks

Hi,

Im 33 weeks pregnant and seem to have quite a hiccuppy baby in there! When I was pregnant with my son I remember he had hiccups but only on a few occasions. This time my little one gets hiccups every day (at least once a day sometimes twice) that last around 5 mins.

is this okay? I’ve read things about cord issues causing frequent hiccups and conflicting information about whether frequent hiccups are a good or bad sign? I had a growth scan last week and placenta looked fine so assuming any issues would have been picked up then?

thanks!

My baby had hiccups 2/3 times a day! Wow it was cute to begin with, but got tiresome very quickly!

I can confirm he's here and hes absolutely perfect and still had hiccups 2/3 times a day on the outside🤣

Same my daughter had hiccups all the time and since being born she still gets them every day 😂 enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and congratulations

It wont let me edit my comment.

The only thing i wanted to add was my placenta and cord was showing all ok, when he was born, he had the shortest cord that he had to lay at the bottom of my tummy to have it cut and even then it was a bit of a stretch!

Still a healthy baby though!
Congratulations and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

My nearly 4 month old had hiccups multiple times a day when I was pregnant with him, especially 30 weeks onwards. He's completely healthy and I would say still hiccups fairly often as a baby. He was also very kicky in utero and is as a baby too 😂

One of mine was very hiccupy in utero...they are now 13, healthy and just as hiccupy if they need food!

These replies have made me feel much better - thanks! :)

My daughter had this, she had reflux and hiccuped every day for years. Never properly burped though.
