10 weeks pregnant, brown tint to CM

I am 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow. For the past couple of days I’ve had mild period like cramping radiating to my groin. Since becoming pregnant I have had a lot of cervical mucus, today the cramping has died down but I have noticed a slight brown tint to it which I have not had before, no increase in the amount of CM. I have had 2 scans this pregnancy one on 30/12 and one yesterday, both have been great. Yesterday’s showed that the baby had doubled in size and had a strong heartbeat (like it did 2 weeks ago) should I be concerned?

I empathise with worries over brown tinged mucus because it indicates old blood. I'm almost 23 weeks pregnant and have been down to EPU multiple times because of it and been scanned, had heartbeat checked and cervix checked. At my last scan, the consultant told me that cervical irritation is my likely cause. I was on progesterone for a while and it leaves your cervix sensitive. Any pressure on my abdomen will likely result in this, she said, inc sex or a constipated bowel movement.

I guess as a general rule, ring up your local early pregnancy centre and ask their advice. You may be like me, it's very common apparently. Congratulations on your pregnancy too 😊
