Early gender scan, is this right?

Had an early scan to find out the sex of baby at 15 weeks and 2 days last week. Baby was not in a good position so it wasn't easy to see, but after a lot of me moving around they seemed happy they'd seen from two angles.

For anyone who knows all about this stuff, would you say this is definitely a girl? I have no idea what I am looking at, I know there should be three lines from what I've read but no idea if that's right from the picture.

I am happy either way and have no preference. I just left thinking is this definitely a girl because the position of baby made it difficult so could it just have been hiding its bits if it's a boy, and surely mistaking it for a girl would be easier to do at this stage.

I don’t see 3 lines..

I’m leaning towards girl but I wouldn’t say that photo is 100% clear that baby is a girl. I’d be inclined to wait until 20 week nhs scan to make sure baby is definitely a girl before buying anything pink haha

I think even if they say at 20 weeks I’ll be waiting until birth to buy anything pink! Haha

I know a couple of woman who found out baby was a different gender at birth, I know it’s rare but definitely happens! Haha

Difficult to tell the sex from this picture. If you’re not bothered either way just buy neutrals and don’t worry about colour coding your baby

I said sex in the post, I’ve never heard of it being called a sex scan though, so called it by its actual name in the title.

Yes you can, I did buy pink for my son as well he had mainly pink sleep suits as they were often cheaper haha

Who said you couldn’t?

I have a child already who is often mistaken for the wrong sex because of their hair / clothes.

I just wanted to see if anyone had any comment based on the picture I provided because, while I have absolutely no preference, I would rather not go X amount of weeks being sure it’s a girl when in fact it’s not.

You did.

You did.

I took that to mean don’t buy anything specifically for a girl, as in don’t take what they’ve said at the scan as 100%. Not a literal instruction to never dress a boy in anything pink.
