Weak heart beat on 7w scan

Hi everyone! I am new to this so don’t even know if I’ll get a reply here!
* TW potential mention of miscarriage *

Has anyone at all got any positive stories of when they go for their 7+ scan and they are measuring behind at more like 6.5 with only a faint heartbeat ( just flickering but there ) and when they go back a week later it has caught up? This is an IVF pregnancy so I know I can’t be miles behind in terms of dates.
I have completely prepared myself for the worst.. the nurse said it’s 50/50 .. it could be a slightly later implant.. and the dr said it could be the positioning. But it didn’t sound good… & I just need to protect my heart and hear honest stories from people who are going through the same process as myself.
This is my first ever pregnancy after struggling with unexplained infertility for years. I am a mess today as I just feel like this is going to be cruelly ripped away from us. What makes it seem harder is this will be a ‘ missed miscarriage ‘ as I’ve had no bleeding or cramping whatsoever 😢 this is so hard.
Sorry for the long post but has anyone got any similar stories?

When I had my IVF I remember reading a stat that if you saw a heartbeat then you had an over 85% chance of a live birth. I saw a HB at 6+1 and had had a very low positive betaHCG and the result is now a massive teenager. Tentative congratulations, the odds are on your side. X

Hello there. I'm sorry you're so worried and it's understandable in your circumstances.

This happened to me (some years ago) and happily, the heartbeat had got stronger the next week. The baby was fine. But I'd also been warned that things could go either way.

I will keep you in my thoughts. I really hope things turn out well for you, too.

I just wanted to give both my experiences, in that it is really 50-50. I think it would be good to prepare for the worst but also hold onto hope.

First of all it can be really normal to measure 3-5 days behind even when you know your conception date.

I have had 2 situations like This, the first weak heartbeat at 6.5 weeks ended in miscarriage.

The next situation now resulted in my 3 year old boy.

It is really 50/50. Some people don’t even see heartbeats at 6.5 weeks and their pregnancy is successful xxx good luck OP

Thank you for your reply with both situations!! I really appreciate this! I will keep everything crossed that it turns out okay but like you said it’s completely 50/50. The hardest part is the waiting xx
