If you’re taking any pregnancy supplements which ones are you taking? My friend took folic acid for the first 12 weeks and was looking at what to take next. She is vegetarian and her diet is not the best so was looking for something. Any recommendations or ones to avoid?

I take some called the mom club, they're from Amazon. They have specially tailored ones for each trimester and I've found them really good, I had bad nausea for a while and they were the only ones that didn't make it worse. Bit pricey but they have very good ingredients

I’m taking Wild Nutrition Food-Grown® Pregnancy + New Mother Multi and Food-Grown® Pregnancy + New Mother Omega 3.

They’re good right through birth and breast feeding and are made with ingredients that are as close to the food equivalent as possible so apparently better for you.

i heard of them through the Is it Normal podcast, if you go to wildnutrition.com/isitnormal you get 50% off the first three months.

I'm using proceive

Objectiontime · 10/12/2025 20:48

Zita West for me, recommended by specialist. Also tailored to each trimester. No side effects and good vitimin and iron levels so far.

Limmers14 · 11/12/2025 09:52

Zita West for me too. Recommended by a fertility specialist.

MeadowMouse · 11/12/2025 15:24

Taking Proceive because it has the folate version of folic acid.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I had a look in stores like boots but it’s so confusing. It’s good to have recommendations from people who have used them especially online companies. I hadn’t heard of some of the ones suggested. I’ll definitely pass on your suggestions to my friend.

Has anyone tried the pregnacare pregnancy ones?

Yes but I found they made my nausea worse and I personally prefer the ingredients in others over them but it's personal choice I guess!

fairlyfairtoday · 18/12/2025 12:35

I'm on pregnacare max, no issues taking them.

MauriceTheMussel · 18/12/2025 13:21

I took Pregnacare Max - the only annoyance was that it was three pills to swallow every time and the two green ones, and maybe this was nausea, if you’re not quick enough swigging the water, you could TASTE them. Algae vibes!
