37 weeks pregnant, sore down below

Hi ladies,
the past few days bump has dropped so much and it’s quite uncomfortable to walk!
this evening I’ve had such a sore vagina, sorry to be crude!! When my legs are close together it hurts and when I lay down with a pillow between my legs it’s also quite sore.
was this a sign labour was near for anyone?
2nd time mum here

I my probably is the baby’s head being so low down and stretching everything.
I remember having horrible shooting pains when I walked with my second (school runs were not fun the last couple of weeks!)
