Has anyone else experienced light headedness/ dizziness, breathlessness, blurry vision when dizzy and upper abdomen pain at nearly 32 weeks? Felt awful the past few weeks had some bloods done a week ago as was experiencing itchiness that worsened at night but nothing came of it. I’ve been put on iron tablets but seems to be getting worse. The pain is a dull ache sensation that I’ve only experienced today alongside feeling light headed.

What's your blood pressure like? Could ir be pre eclampsia? X

I’m thinking preeclampsia, debating if to call triage .i had my blood pressure taken last Monday and they didn’t seem concerned however she said my heart rate was high so made me stay for 5 mins till it came down x

Hi there it's a midwife. Please call Maternity Assessment Unit urgently and follow their instructions. Your symptoms need further investigation

Called them and they told me to take a paracetamol as the pains are more likely braxton hicks and to go to A&E for my dizziness😂😂😂

Your symptoms match some of pre-eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia is not always straightforward to detect. It is very dangerous if left untreated. There will be a change of midwives after 8 pm. Please call the Maternity Assessment Unit again after 8 pm today and discuss.

Would they not have picked up pre eclampsia when I went last Monday and had obs done and blood test?

It's been over a week. Pre-eclamsia can develop suddenly and the signs do not always fit a typical pattern. Please call Maternity Assessment Unit as soon as possible. There has been a change of midwives and doctors by now. I really do think your symptoms warrant further investigation by Maternity, not A&E

These symptoms sound worrying - I hope you've got checked out by now?

Please get yourself checked if you haven’t already-I had upper abdomen pain (it was slightly to one side, under my ribs and I just couldn’t get comfortable) at 38 weeks and it was due to a rare but serious form of pre-eclampsia called HELLP syndrome. Hopefully it’s nothing like that but please get checked.
