We've just had our 20w scan and baby is fine, but they did point out my uterine PI index has a mean on 2.6 (2 on one side and 3.2 on the other). This has really worried me and my partner. Does anyone have experience with a number as high as this and can share their experience please? Thank you so much!

Hi, with baby number one I had raised PI of 2.10 with baby number two I had raised PI of 2.63 (current pregnancy).
Both noticed at 20 week scan. Both times when I had the 28 week follow up scan it had stopped being an issue. Did they book you a follow up 28 week scan?
Try not to worry to much, it will hopefully be fine like mine were.

Thank you so much for your reply!! I’m so glad everything worked out for you - were your children born a normal birth weight? did you take aspirin or do anything in the interim? Was it symmetrical (2.6 on both sides etc) or different numbers?

No not symmetrical both times only PI raised on the left side at 20 week scan. My first baby was born normal weight 3.5kg and this one (I'm 33 weeks pregnant with number two) is also on the 60% percentile so normal weight hopefully. It was all fine at 28 week scan. Didn't take or do anything. I imagine it's okay for most people they told me it's just they have to keep an eye with a follow up scan just in case you end up being in the group where it becomes a problem but for most people in doesn't become a problem.

Did they book you a follow up 28 week scan to check wether there's any concerns?
