Just after some advice please!!

going off of my LMP (which was the 21st October) I should be 6 weeks 3 days pregnant. I went for a scan at the EPU today as I had some bleeding yesterday. They measured me at 5 weeks. The lady seems quite positive about it as everything was where it should have been, there was just no heartbeat (there wouldn't be if I was indeed 5 weeks). I have had 3 pervious miscarriages so I know what to expect but I'm just wondering if anyone has any good outcomes that they could tell me??

I have another scan booked in on the 16th December, I should then be 7 weeks. I was using ovulation tests, if they are correct, I ovulated on the 21st day of my cycle, not the 14th. I usually have between 35-40 day cycles. As they go off of the LMP, its all just very confusing!!!

thanks in advance xxxx

If you ovulated on day 21 after a period on 21st October you are about 5w4. So measuring 5 I imagine is likely to be fine. Obviously they use LMP as a base but because you know you ovulated much later LMP is useless. Just go by ovulation day and add two weeks. Obviously no one can tell you for definite everything is fine, but because of late ovulation I wouldn’t worry about the date discrepancy as it pretty much adds up in my opinion.
