Help, I feel like I’m not silly as I understand 4 weeks pregnant is from your last period and normally when you would get a positive.

Clear blue digital are 1-2 wks = 3-4wks pregnant (before your periods due) while 3 plus is 5+ weeks.

On this test it states the calculations is from the week of conception which has confused me!

Is the test below the same as clear blue? So 4 weeks plus is 6 weeks pregnant? I’ve looked up hcg levels and it’s not helped

From this photo how many weeks do you think I am?

Yeah like the clear blue tests, the week of conception is usually 2 weeks after first day of last period (when pregnancy is usually calculated from).

E.g. if you were 4 weeks on this test, you’d be classed as 6 weeks pregnant.

I don’t know how you read this test though, I’ve never seen one of these! What do the instructions say? Is it just the latest date which you have a visible line is how far along you are?

@Tinytotdriver thanks for replying. I hadn’t really seen these before either. Here’s the instructions which doesn’t help if there’s a super faint line what does it mean?! I should have just got a clear blue

Weird, you’re right that the instructions say the date is calculated from the lmp but in that case how could anyone be 0.2 weeks pregnant, that would be equal to 1.4 days into your period. The instruction’s grammar is odd, making me think it’s a poor translation. I would think it was after conception not after period like PP said. FYI I think it’s widely accepted that these tests don’t have great accuracy inc clear blue. Like some people triple hcg, some double, some less than double (even in successful pregs) so it’s more of a guide to say, you’re a few weeks in.

If it helps, my hcg was 16dpo 549, 18 dpo 1432. Everyone will have vastly difference numbers but if the thresholds are correct I’d read your hcg ~ 2000 (line just visible). There are charts showing hcg ranges for GA.

Thanks you are right I shouldn’t panic. It’s not a blood test and is probably inaccurate…I should have realised from the instructions hahha!

I rang EPAU as I am known to them and have scan booked Saturday morning. Which will give me better piece of mind than staring at a test.

Thanks for your inputs, glad I wasn’t the only one looking at this test and thinking “I don’t get it” 😂

I also got these tests once and was massively confused by this. How can anyone be one week pregnant? That's before fertilization and implantation occurs.

aLogLady · 04/12/2025 11:04

Aw @Hotchocolates32 im known to my EPAS as well. She recognised my voice when I phoned in the latest (and so far more successful) pregnancy. I’m 10.5 weeks. They all lined up at reception to congratulate me after my 9 week good scan hehe. I love them all, even in bad times they’re so good.

It says on the instructions this test card shows the week of conception which is right for you being around 4 weeks as it would be around 2 weeks since conception. It’s just the same as the CB weeks indicator saying pregnant 1-2 = 3-4 weeks pregnant.

It also says "from the first day of the last menstrual period".

And how can anyone be 0.2-1 week pregnant, if it's the same as the clearblue indicator tests? That would be less than 3 weeks pregnant and its impossible to get a positive result that early.

My concern is I should be around 6 weeks now. And 2 weeks ago I did have a clear blue saying 2-3 weeks pregnant. I feel like this test just adds confusion and won’t be buying them again 😂
