I took a test yesterday on a whim with a Morrisons own test and it came up straight away positive which was a bit of a happy shock. I haven’t had a child let alone a positive before. My period is suppose to start on Saturday. I did one yesterday evening and this morning and both are negative. What’s your guys opinion on this as it’s all very new to me?

Am I pregnant?

I think there's been a few threads here before with faults Morrisons or Asda tests. Maybe have a Google. I've never used so can't really comment.

There’s a lot of dye bleed in the test window. If you flood the test dye can bleed from the control line and track along the test indent, giving a false positive.

I'd read the directions carefully. It does actually matter. Back in the day, the ones I used (Sainsbury's finest) were meant to be used at certain times in relation to one's cycle and the result was only valid during a certain amount of time after taking the test (evaporation/oversoaking).

(Are you actually trying? Also, how do you feel?)
I just read the package on some old ones I have and it says -5 days to your period 79% accurate.

Edited

I did make sure to read the instructions properly. Well we haven’t been careful and we are more than happy to have a child. I came of the pill at the start of the year so my periods aren’t in a good flow but the last two months have been more consistent. I feel really tired, emotional and certain smells are making me feel sick. Could be my body playing tricks with me though 🙈
this photo was taken around 10 mins after I had taken the test. The line came up straight away.

But the test is flooded, so the result is invalid.

If your other tests are negative I’d say this line is just due to the flooding.
Wait a couple of days then do a digital to be sure maybe?
